چکیده | ||
This article examines the effect of varying organomineral fertilizer application rates on the growth, development, productivity, and fruit quality of melon varieties grown under temporary film shelters. The study was conducted on irrigated light gray soils in the Kashkadarya region, focusing on two melon varieties: 'Ob-novvoti Samarkand local' (standard) and the new 'Novotkalla'. The objective was to determine optimal fertilizer rates for achieving a high-quality, early melon harvest. Field experiments were conducted on irrigated, light gray soils. The soil composition included 1.13% humus, a pH of 7.7-7.1, and specific levels of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium. Four different organomineral fertilizer application rates were tested per nest. The base application was 1.0 kg of manure, supplemented with increasing amounts of nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). The highest application rate was 1.0 kg manure + N15.8P12.6K8.0 grams per nest. Seedlings were planted under film covers supported by arcs, following a 60 cm planting scheme with a density of 9520 plants per hectare. The application of organomineral fertilizers at a rate of 10 tons ha-1 of manure + N125-150P100-120K62-75 kg ha-1, or specifically 1.0 kg of manure + N13-15.8P10.5-12.6K6.6-8.0 grams per nest, significantly enhanced growth parameters. This optimal rate led to the formation of an ideal leaf surface area, powerful tops, robust root systems, and productive bushes. This optimal fertilization regime resulted in the highest marketable yield, ranging from 16.4-19.0 tons ha-1 and more. Furthermore, it improved the biochemical composition of the fruits, increasing sugar content by 0.3-0.6% (to 9.0-9.4%) and reducing nitrate content to almost half the recommended norms (46.72-53.60 mg kg-1). The joint application of organomineral fertilizers extended the growing season by 2-8 days, resulting in a total growing season of 65-70 days. The study concludes that applying organomineral fertilizers at specific rates (1.0 kg manure + N13-15.8P10.5-12.6K6.6-8.0 grams per nest) under film cover creates highly favorable conditions for the cultivation of 'Ob-novvoti Samarkand local' and 'Novotkalla' melon varieties. This approach leads to superior growth, development, and ultimately, an ultra-early harvest of at least 16.4-19.0 tons ha-1 with excellent quality, characterized by high sugar content and low nitrate levels. | ||
